Laxtons Attend h+h Cologne, Germany

Our Laxtons team attended h+h Cologne which was a welcomed return after a long hiatus due to COVID. We exhibited alongside 280 other companies from 41 countries at this international trade fair for handicrafts and hobbies. Together, we presented the world’s largest range of products, innovations and trends within the handicrafts industry. 

This year’s motto was ‘Be Creative. Be Unique.’ It was about how you can make your business stand out and be unique compared to others. All companies joined together in this aim to be unique in a world of fast, trend-lead fashion, to provide something individual and long-lasting to the market. Our team at Laxtons were particularly thrilled by this motto, we felt it truly encompassed what we stand for. This felt like the perfect opportunity to talk about what sustainability means to us as a leader in the yarn industry. Our yarn is durable, traceable and sustainable. This means that we use 100% local wool to ensure our yarn has the lowest possible carbon footprint, while treating it with the care and attention it deserves and needs to remain natural and biodegradable. Laxtons are at the forefront of the industry by pushing for complete transparency between the customer and consumer. 

This event fell at the perfect time to announce the launch of our Sheepsoft and Wooltrace ranges. This is at a time when demand for British wool in Europe is at an all-time high. Sheepsoft describes our fleeced to finished yarn in less than 50 miles range. All products in this range are 100% genuine British wool using the best quality wool on the market: Bluefaced Leicester and Masham. Wooltrace describes our most environmentally conscious range which allows for full transparency and traceability. 

Head of Sales and Marketing, Carly Smith says “It was great to be back after the lockdowns, meeting lots of new customers and catching up with old friends. The show was a huge success opening lots of new doors for Laxtons in Europe, Australia, Japan and the US.”. 

The event saw a mixture of lectures, workshops and talks and live podcasting from some exhibiting companies.

It has been an exciting time for us at Laxtons this year, with the upcoming launch of our consumer brand, byLaxtons new brand and website launch, complimented by tons of new products available to the consumer and retail market. 

We will be exhibiting at h+h’s next exhibition in Chicago, USA from 21-23 June.
